Maria Elena Moioli is an Italian self-taught artist.
After a Master's degree in Philosophical Sciences at Università degli Studi di Milano and several years of experience in the field of fashion communication, she began painting as a self-taught artist in 2017, in response to a specific creative need.
Her collection of works draws inspiration from her personal inner world, the universe of myth and fantasy and the dream dimension, in an instinctive dialogue between symbolic, imaginary and reality. Her artistic research prefers "poor" media (like cardboard, newspaper, discarded textiles) with a gesture that is both recovering and transformative: in the encounter with waste elements, new worlds and possibilities are glimpsed.
In 2023 she participated in the collective exhibition “Creative Stories of Resilience” in Washington D.C. at the World Bank Headquarters and at the IFC buildings, and in September 2023 she inaugurated in Milan her first solo show entitled “VOLO”.
Today she lives between Milan and Washington D.C. .
